Murugiah X ViewSonic

ViewSonic commissioned Strange Brew Productions to produce a short promo video showcasing their M1 Plus Projector and how it is utilised by London based artist Murugiah. The story explores how the projector is essential to his workflow.

The project was used for B2B and B2C. Our role was not only to produce the visual content and deliver a product, but we also conceptualised the story and wrote the script.

We shot the film in 4k, delivering in the highest possible quality. We also delivered videos suitable for IGTV as well as shorter videos for Twitter and Facebook.

Challenges and how we handled them

Due to a relatively low budget we didn’t have the chance to work with a set designer or costume designer. This resulted in items of clothing being worn that shouldn’t have been, for example the helmet worn by Sharm.

We were asking to remove the logo from each shot of the film, we achieved this using Adobe After Effects and delivered a new version to the client within a day.

Other challenges included single shooting the project, in order to keep budget down further, director and DOP Jack Woodhams had to film and direct the video. Ensuring the quality was up to the Strange Brew Productions standard.

“Working with Strange Brew Productions and Jack on this project was really great from start to finish, Jack conceptualised the idea which helped to promote our product in a new and exciting way. When we saw the finished product we were hugely impressed by the production value and couldn’t have asked for a smoother collaborative process”
